It is finally the new year! The year of the Dragon.

Dragons’ generous personalities give them the ability to attract friends, but they can be rather solitary people at heart. A Dragon’s self-sufficiency can mean that he or she has no need for close bonds with other people.

Shop Local with Groceries

Last weekend I went to visit my friends at their office/factory area in downtown LA for the event “Groceries family sale”

So much fun with all the different local designers there in their booths. All very affordable and great for gifting for the holidays!

Groceries have the best basic tee’s. All recycled cotton:)
The Hemp tees are my favorite. Men’s tee shirts are a perfect fit.
My husband bought a few and loved it!

I did a lot of shopping here and always good bumping into friends.
The event was great with even a live band!!

Cannot wait to go to the next one!

Unique LA

Last Sunday my friend had invited me to join her to visit Unique LA in the California Mart in Downtown LA.
I had heard about it and walked close to it (but never going in) and for some reason I never had the urge to go see it.

Well! To my surprise, when I arrived around 1:30pm there was a LOOONG line in the lobby area for people buying tickets to go in! ($10 admission fee)
That got me a little excited to see what was waiting for us on the 13th?14th floor?!

Once the elevator doors opened it was like in front of Shibuya Station, people! Lots of PEOPLE going left and right, shopping, chatting, having tea! Eating ! There was even a “DIY Table” where they gave you things to clip and glue to make your own little artwork.

We were amazed to see so many people and sooo many booths! All local vendors selling their tee shirts, soaps, jewelry, candles, interior items.Just about anything.

One of my favs, was “RELIGHT” They have vintage mug cups, planters, ceramic cuties and even pepsi cans that they find, clean and fill with wax so that we can take home a candle.
Really loved the idea.Makes everything feel extra special because you know there are not that many Squirrel Nut case planters out there! ((Great for gifting!!))

My one and only purchase for the day was at “HIPS AND HAIR”

I bought the misfits x mickey cloak top.
Love it!! Wore it out today and got so many compliments:)

The tee is easy, 100% organic cotton, hand printed in LA and the print is off the hook!

Love walking around Aoyama, Omotesando and Harajuku!
